Phuket FantaSea is a larger-than-life show providing thrills, amazement and laughter. The biggest show in Phuket, it is inspired by Thai legend and incorporates theatre, circus and magic. It features a cast of hundreds including white tigers, buffalo, horses and more animals besides! A little piece of Vegas, there’s lights, flames, fireworks, lasers and plenty of mystery and wonder.
More than just a show, the 140-acre complex can be broken down into five main parts. Firstly, the Palace of the Elephants, a life-sized model of a Sukhothai-era stone palace, hosts a stunning show about the Prince of Kamala and his magic elephant, Iyara. The 3000-seat theatre pays homage to the 999 elephants which protected the kingdom. Next, the Fantasy of a Kingdom Cultural Illusion Show is a 4-dimensional extravaganza featuring acrobatics, polytechnics and elephant stunts. Through Hanuman and his monkey warriors, Thailand’s rich history is brought to life.
Carnival Village consists of fifteen unique shops, each designed to reflect a certain period in Thai history. It’s an ideal location to buy leather, silk, jewellery and elephant souvenirs. It’s also a great place to see how traditional Thai arts and crafts are actually made. For children there’s Hanuman’s lair where they can play games with the trickster king of the monkeys. For adults, there’s Kamala Pier Restaurant and Beer Garden. But you needn’t spend money to enjoy Carnival Village – with rides, street shows, carnivals and parades it’s an experience in itself!
In Lotus Lake, floats the Golden Pavilion – entrance to the Golden Kinnaree Buffet Restaurant. Here, guests are treated like kings as Kinnarees, magical half-women, half-birds, cater to your every whim. The food is prepared by some of Thailand’s best chefs and presented in a magical Himmaphan-forest setting. Alternatively, Suriyamas Seafood Buffet Restaurant specialises in both Thai and international seafood. A five-star luxury restaurant, it’s sure to impress.
