Promthep Cape
Prompthep Cape is an absolute must if you are a fan of incredible views. We would highly recommend taking a visit to experience the absolutely breath-taking sunset in Phuket. Not only do you have the most stunning views, but there is also a restaurant and stalls selling souvenirs and refreshments to enjoy while you are there. Make sure you get there on time to experience the truly magnificent sunset. Remember to bring your camera and capture this Phuket viewpoint view forever.

There is a road up to Promthep Cape and plenty of parking spaces. There are a few steps to climb to get to the viewpoints and please note there is no wheelchair access. Ensure you go on a clear day with little to no haze for the best experience.
Phuket Radar Hill Viewpoint
This viewpoint is not as well-known as others mentioned in this list; however once you reach this wonderful spot above Patong Beach you will be amazed by the panoramic views of the landscape and beach. Once you reach the top you will realise that there are few tourists and this is likely due to it being slightly tricky to find. We recommend you plan your route before you leave your Phuket accommodation.
Useful info –
Start your journey at Central festival Phuket and drive towards Chalong. You will see a sign to Villa Zolitude Hotel on the right which is small and difficult to spot. Once you get onto the road the viewpoint is approximately two kilometres from the hotel. The road is in good condition for driving and ends at the military owned weather station. Parking is available before you reach this point.
KARON VIEW POINT
Karon View Point is one of the most popular spots for photographers and you will probably recognise this view from many postcards. Not only is it a really beautiful view, but you also get a perfect overview of three of Phuket’s nicest beaches; Kata Noi, Kata Beach and Karon Beach. For the best view and brightest colours, you should visit this viewpoint in the morning as they tend to fade towards the evening. Walking up to the viewpoint is a fairly tough due to the steepness of the hill, so going by transport is recommended.

This viewpoint is accessible within a 15 minute drive from Karon. It is quite remote, however there is a small eatery (and chargeable restroom facilities) for visitors who want a relaxing break. Please note this viewpoint is not wheelchair accessible.
Phuket Big Buddha
Phuket’s Big Buddha is an absolute must see during your visit in Phuket. Not only is the beautiful marble covered sculpture stunning to look at, but the site offers 360 degree views across the island. You can hike up to the top of the mountain with the roads in good condition; however for some it will be a quite a challenge as the walk up takes over an hour. There is a nice restaurant near the Big Buddha where you can relax while enjoying the stunning views after your visit.

avoid wearing beach wear, revealing clothing or any inappropriately printed t-shirts as this is a religious site. Opening Hours: From 08:00 – 19:30.
Windmill Viewpoint
This viewpoint is the perfect place to view the sunset during your Phuket stay. Not only do you have a lovely view here, but there is a small beach below (Naiharn Phuket) for you to also enjoy and make a full day out of your visit. In comparison to some of the other viewpoints in Phuket, Windmill Viewpoint is less commercialised and as a result less crowded. There is a sheltered area and some seating for those in need of some shade during their visit.
Useful info –
If you are unsure about whether you are going in the right direction, follow the windmills! There are a limited amount of parking spaces in the parking area.
Khao Torsae – Monkey Hill
The main reason to head up this hill would definitely be to see the monkeys! You can drive (or walk) all the way up to the top where you will find lots of wild monkeys going bananas (speaking of which, bringing some bananas for them would be appreciated for sure!) Locals often venture up the mountain by foot in the afternoon for some exercise and feed the monkeys fruit. There are plenty of nice views on the way up to the top.
Useful info –
the hill is quite steep, so for some this up-hill walk can be a challenge (hence the popularity amongst fitness fanatics) so do be careful and steer clear during the hottest times of the day. Also to note, some of the larger monkeys can be quite intimidating, so be careful with younger children if you choose to feed them.
