LAYAN BEACH
Layan Beach forms the northern part of the extensive Bang Tao Beach. These two beaches are divided by a small lagoon which gives a feeling of privacy and exclusivity at Layan Beach. South of Layan Beach, Bang Tao beach stretches for many kilometres, inviting you to enjoy long walks along the tropical beach.
Layan Beach itself is like a protected bay with cliffs and lush vegetation. The beach is a favourite amongst Thai locals and expats and this is likely due to the very few changes to the beach in the last 20 years, leaving it very natural and organic. Except for a few beach cafes, there is a secluded feeling at the sandy and pristine beach which is perfect for those seeking pure relaxation. The northern part of the beach offers good snorkelling opportunities and you’ll find a few good restaurants near the beach if you need a break from sunbathing and you want to indulge in some of the local dishes on offer.
There’s also small pier behind the beach where you rent a boat and perhaps head over to Koh Kala where you’ll find a beautiful lagoon ready to explore if you want to rent out a kayak.
Although away from the crowds, in a secluded location, Layan Beach is super easy to access, allowing you to feel like you have landed in paradise without having to journey too far to get there…
